Ground Beef Strogonoff

INGREDIENTS:

1 lb ground beef

1 medium onion, finely chopped

2 T. salad oil (vegetable oil)

1 t. monosodium glutamate (MSG) - or omit

1 t. salt

1/2 t. pepper

5-6 ozs. sliced fresh mushrooms, sautéed

1 can condensed cream of mushroom soup

1 cup sour cream

Cooked rice


DIRECTIONS:

Cook beef and onion in oil until red is gone. Add monosodium glutamate, salt, pepper, mushrooms, ad soup. Cook over low heat about 1 hour. Stir occasionally to prevent sticking. Just before serving, stir in sour cream and cook until steaming hot. Do not boil. Serve over cooked rice. Makes 4 servings.
